Yahoo Answers For Storm Bowling Ball
Question if i have a trobical storm bowling ball what other type should i buy.?
im extremely used to this ball i ned a good ball that will work with it. any suggestions? tropical storm
Best Answer As a High School Coach, I often recommend the Tropical Storm as a "first ball" for my athletes. The Tropical Storm is a High RG ball with a very mild reaction. It's an entry level ball that is primarily used on drier conditions. As bowlers progress, they often find that the Tropical Storm no longer gives them the desired hook and/or power that they are looking for on typical house conditions. Without having seen you bowl or knowing what level bowler you are, it is extremely hard to recommend the "right" ball to compliment your TS. In reality, just about any ball would compliment the TS due to its "entry level" nature. If you are 150-180, stay under 0.00. If you are 180+ or have natural physical ablity, then go over 0.00. The main thing I would look for right now, is a more aggressive coverstock with a lower RG (Under 2.5). Also, keep in mind that you will eventually want to develop a bowling arsenal. For you, a 3 ball arsenal would probably suffice. Your TS would be your dry ball (Vibe, Neptune, Hornet, etc), your next ball should be your benchmark ball for medium conditions (Black Widows, Cell Pearl, etc), then consider a very aggressive ball for oil (Virtual Gravity, Cell, LevRG, Buzz Bomb, etc)

Question Can any bowlers tell me about the El Nino Wrath bowling ball from Storm?
I just recently got this ball used from a friend. I had it resurfaced and redrilled. I am just looking for some info on the way it reacts to different lane conditions. If anyone has used this ball please give me some info. I plan on practicing with it in a few days, so I just want to know what to expect from it!
Best Answer I bowled with a regular Storm El Nino in the past, but had it drilled for distance on the lane before snapping hard into the pocket. As with all other manufacturers out there, any of the performance bowling balls like the El Nino or El Nino Wrath can be drilled "exotically" for more hook, more distance, and more or less back end motion into the pocket. It's just a matter of also polishing or dulling the surface of the ball to change it's appearance after delivery. Try bowlingballreviews.com to see information on the El Nino Wrath. That should give you specs and reviews from bowlers that have used it. Good luck!
