Yahoo Answers For Elite Bowling Ball
Question Elite bowling balls. Are they worth the money?
I recently purchased two bowling balls, One is a Bruinswick Fury and the other, A never been used Columbia Rock On Limited Edition. While I was purchasing them, I spotted several bowling balls from the Elite Brand, and the prices were unbelievable. Now are they really worth it when it comes to bowling. I mean is their hooking power really worth 9.99 on Bowlers Paradise? Are they really that good of a bowling ball? Open to any and all comments and suggestions.

Best Answer I've had four bowling balls in my lifetime. My Nitro R(eactive) was bright green and was my favorite ball, 13 lbs. The Nitro cost me 0.00 at that time. I was willing to buy it because I liked the way it looked, I wanted to bowl better, and because my best friend was getting one and I had to beat him in a one-ups-manship trip. The other three bowling balls I purchased ranged in the .00 (on clearance) to .00 range. I bowled better with the Nitro R because that's the ball I used all the time (since I spent so much money on it). Honestly, after using the other bowling balls ... I learned to bowl just as well as with the Nitro R ... so in my opinion, there is no real difference. People need to adjust anytime they use a different bowling ball so unless you plan on only using one ball period ... the choice of bowling balls is totally up to your preference. If you want to practice your curve, some bowling alleys give bowling lessons but there aren't that many. You can always ask people to teach you. Another option is joining a bowling league, your league members will be more than happy to teach you for free (you should at least get something out of paying a league fee right?). When I bowled on a regular basis (not in a league), I'd hit the bowling alley three times a week. My average was 200 at that time ... before bowling was a hobby, I averaged about 120. I don't bowl much these days, maybe once or twice a month if I'm lucky. My current average is 150.
Question Elite Red Alien Bowling Ball?
Does any body have any complaints on it i mean i want to buy it but i read that it will run out curve or whatever from to much oil is that true? And maybe were i Can Get A Cheap One Besides Ebay Thank You.

Best Answer If you use a very aggressive ball on dry lanes (not enough oil), the friction will slow down or stop the rotation of the ball so it won't hook (curve) very much. As for where to get them, I'd say your pro shop would be your best bet. Elite isn't the biggest or most popular company out there so I think you'll have to do a little searching around.
